Royal Enfield Continental GT Cup 2026 registrations open, new GT-R750 race prototype to debut
Royal Enfield has opened registrations for the Continental GT Cup 2026, introducing the all-new GT-R750 race prototype, separate grids for professionals and amateurs, and a Rs 20 lakh prize pool.

Royal Enfield has officially opened registrations for the sixth edition of the Continental GT Cup 2026, presented by JK Tyre. The upcoming season promises to be the most competitive iteration yet, with the introduction of a new GT-R750 race prototype, separate grids for professional and amateur riders, and a total prize pool of Rs 20 lakh.
The Continental GT Cup has steadily evolved into one of India’s most accessible manufacturer-backed racing championships since its debut in 2021. Staying true to its "Street to Track" philosophy, the championship allows riders with just a valid driving licence to enter the world of circuit racing.
A major highlight for the 2026 season is the debut of the all-new GT-R750 race prototype, developed specifically for professional riders. Built on a completely new platform, the motorcycle has been engineered for sharper performance, improved agility, and enhanced rider feedback on the racetrack. It features race-tuned suspension and braking systems, lightweight twin stainless steel race exhausts, and a newly developed aerodynamic race fairing aimed at improving straight-line performance and rider tuck-in.
While professionals will compete on the new GT-R750, amateur riders will continue racing on the proven GT-R650 platform that has formed the backbone of the championship over the last five seasons.
For the first time since 2022, the Continental GT Cup will feature separate grids for professional and amateur categories. Royal Enfield says this move is aimed at delivering a more competitive environment while allowing both sets of riders to progress at their own pace.
The 2026 season also raises the stakes significantly with a Rs 20 lakh prize pool, along with hospitality support for riders across all race rounds, making it one of the most rewarding one-make racing championships in the country.
Registrations for the championship are currently open and will close on May 31, 2026. Zonal selections and track school sessions will take place across Guwahati, Delhi NCR, Pune, and Bangalore through May and June. Shortlisted participants will receive training from experts before being evaluated on lap times.
Final rider selections are scheduled between June 18 and 21, 2026 at the Kari Motor Speedway in Coimbatore. The championship itself will unfold across three rounds in August, September, and November at the same venue.
Royal Enfield revealed that the previous season attracted nearly 6,000 registrations, with around 560 riders participating in zonal selections, underlining the growing popularity of track racing among Indian motorcycling enthusiasts.
The Continental GT Cup forms part of Royal Enfield’s broader global motorsport initiatives, which include programmes such as Build. Train. Race. in the United States, flat track racing in the UK and USA, and slide schools conducted across multiple countries.
