This Indian company rolls out one millionth unit of its popular electric scooter
TVS has rolled out the one millionth iQube electric scooter from its Hosur plant, underscoring the rapid growth of electric mobility in India and the brand's expanding presence in the EV segment.

TVS Motor Company has announced the rollout of the one millionth iQube electric scooter from its manufacturing facility in Hosur, marking a significant milestone in both the company's journey and India's rapidly expanding electric mobility sector.
The achievement highlights the growing acceptance of electric vehicles in the country and reflects the accelerating shift towards sustainable transportation. Since its launch in 2020, the iQube has emerged as one of India's best-selling electric scooters, with TVS positioning it as a family-oriented EV designed to meet diverse mobility needs.
Commenting on the milestone, TVS Motor Chairman, Sudarshan Venu, said the rollout of one million iQubes demonstrates how electric mobility is increasingly becoming a part of everyday life in India. He noted that the achievement is the result of years of investment in engineering, innovation and manufacturing capabilities, enabling the company to develop world-class electric mobility solutions designed and built in India.
TVS said the iQube has been developed through extensive in-house engineering, research and development, and product innovation efforts. The scooter range has expanded over the years to include multiple battery capacities, range options and connected features, allowing customers to choose variants that best suit their requirements.
The company has also steadily expanded its retail and service footprint to support EV adoption. The iQube is currently backed by more than 3,300 sales and service touchpoints spread across over 3,000 cities in India.
TVS highlighted the environmental impact achieved by its growing EV customer base. According to the company, iQube riders have collectively covered more than 14.94 billion kilometres since the scooter's launch, helping avoid an estimated 5,22,969 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions. The company added that the resulting carbon savings are equivalent to planting nearly 20.9 million trees.
The milestone comes at a time when India is witnessing strong momentum in electric vehicle adoption, supported by increasing consumer awareness, expanding charging infrastructure and government initiatives aimed at promoting cleaner mobility solutions. TVS said it remains committed to advancing sustainable mobility and contributing to India's ambition of becoming a global leader in the future of mobility.
