Citroen updates e-C3X with more features, more range and new BaaS model
Citroen has updated the eC3X EV for 2026 with a longer claimed range, added features and a new Battery-as-a-Service ownership model, lowering the entry price.

Citroen India has launched the updated e-C3X electric hatchback, introducing a host of feature upgrades, refreshed styling elements and a new Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) ownership programme. Prices for the 2026 Citroen e-C3X start at Rs 11.99 lakh (ex-showroom) and go up to Rs 13.26 lakh (ex-showroom).
Under the newly introduced BaaS scheme, customers can purchase the eC3X at an introductory price of Rs 6.89 lakh while paying a battery usage charge of Rs 2.26 per kilometre. The EV is available in three variants: Live, Live (O) and Shine.
Exterior updates
The refreshed eC3X receives projector LED headlamps, retaining the signature split-headlamp design with LED daytime running lights. Citroen has also introduced new 15-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels and electrically adjustable and auto-folding ORVMs.
The EV continues with black body cladding, front and rear skid plates, LED tail-lamps and front fog lamps, preserving its crossover-inspired styling.
Interior and features
Inside, the eC3X gets a revised dual-tone Electric Blue and beige cabin theme along with new leatherette seat upholstery. While the dashboard layout remains unchanged, Citroen has added several new convenience and technology features.
These include a 7-inch TFT digital instrument cluster, electrochromic inside rearview mirror, wireless smartphone charger and Connected Car 2.0 technology with over 40 remote functions. The EV continues to offer a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility.
Customers can also opt for a JBL audio system and front and rear dashcam package as accessories. Higher variants now come equipped with six airbags, while lower trims feature four airbags. Other safety features include ABS with EBD, ISOFIX child-seat mounts and speed-sensitive auto door locking.
Range increases despite unchanged battery
The updated eC3X continues with the same 29.2kWh battery pack and front-mounted electric motor producing 57bhp and 143Nm. However, Citroen claims a significantly improved MIDC-certified range of 325km, representing an increase of 79km over the previous model.
The electric motor enables a claimed 0-60kmph sprint in 6.8 seconds, while top speed is rated at 107kmph.
Charging duties are handled by an AC charger that takes 10 hours and 30 minutes to replenish the battery from 10 to 100 percent. Using a DC fast charger, the battery can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in 57 minutes.
Built on Citroen's Smart Car Platform, the eC3X continues to offer a 315-litre boot, 170mm ground clearance and the brand's Advanced Comfort suspension setup. The electric hatchback rivals the likes of the Tata Tiago EV and MG Comet EV in the Indian market.
