The latest performance builds on the company's record-breaking 2025, marking its second consecutive highest-ever half-yearly sales tally in India.

Ashish Gupta, Brand Director, Skoda Auto India, attributed the growth to the company's expanding product portfolio and customer-focused approach.

"Our record half-yearly sales reflect the growing confidence and trust customers place in the Skoda brand. In 2026, we have strengthened this connection through a focused product offensive, customer-first initiatives, and an unwavering commitment to excellence," Gupta said.

He added that demand for the updated Kushaq and Kodiaq, along with the newly launched Kodiaq RS which sold out within six minutes of bookings opening—has remained strong. The Kylaq continues to be the brand's volume driver, while the Slavia has helped sustain its presence in the sedan segment.

Dealer network expansion

Alongside product launches, Skoda has continued expanding its retail footprint across the country. The company now has more than 340 customer touchpoints nationwide and recently launched its 'Skoda Express Care' initiative to improve service accessibility, transparency and ownership experience.

Skoda also highlighted its motorsport activities as part of its brand-building efforts. Earlier this year, the company entered the India Book of Records and Asia Book of Records for the fastest multi-car relay by a single manufacturer on a circuit.

The relay involved five models, the Slavia Monte Carlo, Kushaq Monte Carlo, Kylaq, Kodiaq and the limited-run Octavia RS which completed the challenge in a combined lap time of 12 minutes and 30.97 seconds at the CoASTT circuit in Coimbatore.

With the strong H1 performance, Skoda has carried forward the momentum from its best-ever annual sales in 2025 and will look to sustain growth through the remainder of 2026 with its refreshed SUV lineup and expanding sales network.
