World Car Awards retains top global automotive awards position for 14th straight year
The World Car Awards has been named the world's most visible automotive awards programme for the 14th consecutive year, with independent analysis showing it reached over 493 million people during 2025-26.

The World Car Awards has retained its position as the world's most visible automotive awards programme for the 14th consecutive year, according to an independent analysis by media intelligence platform AITASTIC.
As the awards programme enters its 23rd season, AITASTIC's latest analysis found that the World Car Awards continued to lead the global automotive awards landscape in terms of media reach and visibility. The programme has held the top spot every year since 2013.
According to the analysis, the World Car Awards reached more than 493 million people during its 2025-2026 awards season. Beyond topping the global rankings, it also emerged as the most visible automotive awards programme across key regions, including the United States, Asia, Europe, Africa and Australia.
The annual World Car Awards cycle begins each September with the announcement of eligible vehicles and concludes in March with the winners being revealed at the New York International Auto Show.
The programme also includes several milestones throughout the season, such as the annual LA Test Drives in November, the announcement of finalists in January, the World Car Person of the Year award in February, and the unveiling of the Top Three in the World finalists ahead of the final awards ceremony in March.
Commenting on the recognition, Steve Fowler, chair of the World Car Steering Committee, said the awards programme continues to stand out in an increasingly competitive automotive awards landscape.
"The World Car Awards continues to dominate an increasingly crowded automotive awards landscape, reaching car buyers, car owners and car enthusiasts to really influence opinion and buying habits around the world," Fowler said.
He added that the programme's jury comprises influential automotive journalists and content creators whose work helps shape consumer opinion globally.
The World Car Awards is also entering the new season with changes to both its steering committee and jury panel.
In addition to the organisational changes, the World Car Awards will launch a redesigned official website in early July as it prepares for its 23rd awards season.
