According to the police, the truck was travelling towards Devanahalli when its driver allegedly lost control and rammed into a tractor moving ahead. The impact caused the lorry to jump the highway median and enter the opposite carriageway.
The truck then collided head-on with an oncoming Bolero, setting off a chain of events that unfolded within seconds. CCTV footage of the accident captures the violent collision, while several motorists can be seen narrowly avoiding being caught in the crash.
Despite the severity of the impact, all three drivers survived, sustaining injuries. They were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment, police said.
A case has been registered, and an investigation is under way to determine the exact cause of the accident.
