Caught on CCTV: Masked men set bikes ablaze in Delhi after drug abuse complaints
Four masked men set several bikes and a gate on fire in Delhi's Jahangirpuri, with residents suspecting the attack was linked to recent complaints against alleged drug abuse in a nearby park.

A group of masked men poured petrol and set several bikes ablaze in North-West Delhi allegedly after local residents complained to police about alleged drug abuse in a nearby public park.
CCTV footage of the incident in Jahangirpuri shows four men with their faces covered walking through a narrow lane late on Tuesday night. The suspects are first seen lifting the cover of a bike parked outside the complainant’s house and inspecting it carefully. They then move around the locality, checking several parked bikes one by one before allegedly pouring petrol on them and setting them on fire. The men also allegedly poured petrol on a gate and set it ablaze.
The incident triggered panic among residents in the area.
The footage reportedly shows the masked men standing near the burning vehicles for several minutes without any apparent fear before calmly fleeing the spot.
The incident took place despite police having reportedly intensified patrolling and surveillance in the locality following complaints of drug use in the public park.
Residents suspect the arson may be linked to the recent complaints against alleged drug consumption in the park, raising concerns that the complainants may have been deliberately targeted.
Police have seized the CCTV footage and launched an investigation. Efforts are underway to identify the accused seen in the video.
The incident has also raised questions among locals over the law-and-order situation and security in the area, though police said the investigation is still underway to establish whether there is any connection between the attack and the alleged drug users.
