Smashed windows, bloodied face: 2 BBA students arrested for Gurugram road rage

A case of alleged road rage has surfaced in Gurugram’s Cyber City area, where a minor dispute over giving way on the road allegedly escalated into violence. Two BBA graduates, travelling in a Scorpio SUV, allegedly assaulted a car driver and vandalised his vehicle near Rajiv Chowk. Police arrested both accused within hours of the incident taking place.

According to the complainant, the incident occurred on June 20 while he was travelling from Sohna Road towards Rajiv Chowk in his Windsor car. He alleged that two men in a Scorpio were driving recklessly and in a zigzag manner, narrowly avoiding a collision with his vehicle.

When the complainant objected, the accused allegedly stopped his car, verbally abused him and created a scene on the road. The survivor managed to leave the spot, but the accused allegedly chased him and intercepted his vehicle again near Rajiv Chowk.

Police said the accused then attacked the car using sticks, smashing the windows and assaulting the driver. During the attack, the complainant sustained injuries after being hit on the shoulder, while broken glass pieces reportedly struck his face. The accused allegedly threatened to kill him before fleeing the spot.

Acting on the complaint, the local police registered a case and launched an investigation. Within a few hours, police detained both accused and identified them as Parth and Pars, both BBA graduates.

During questioning, the accused allegedly admitted that an argument broke out after the complainant did not give way to their vehicle, following which they attacked him in anger.

Police have also recovered the Scorpio SUV allegedly used in the incident.
