The accused, Satyavathi, allegedly killed her husband, Pentaiah, and later buried his body to conceal the crime, according to police.
Pentaiah had been missing since November last year. At the time, Satyavathi herself lodged a missing person complaint with the Miyapur Police.
During the investigation, police examined Satyavathi's call detail records (CDRs), technical evidence, and CCTV footage. Investigators have alleged that the evidence revealed she conspired with her alleged lover to murder her husband.
Police further claimed that after killing Pentaiah, the accused transported his body to an area near the Maharashtra border and buried it in an attempt to hide the crime.
With the assistance of the Maharashtra Police, the Miyapur Police exhumed the body from the burial site.
Police have taken Satyavathi into custody and are questioning her.
The investigation is continuing to determine the alleged lover's role in the case and whether any other individuals were involved in the murder.
