Indore man drops kids at school, returns home to kill his wife, flees
The victim was posted as a Postal Assistant at a post office in the city. She was attacked by a sharp-edged weapon, according to the police. There were multiple wounds on her body, an official said.

A woman working in the postal department was allegedly killed by her husband in Indore, police said. The accused, identified as Akhilesh Saini, is a Bhopal-based businessman. Preliminary probe suggests that he fled the scene after attacking his wife, Urmila Saini, with a sharp-edged weapon.
The victim was posted as a Postal Assistant at a post office in the city. There were multiple wounds on her body, a police official said.
The body was discovered by the couple's 14-year-old daughter. According to the police, Akhilesh dropped the teenager and her 7-year-old brother at their school.
He allegedly gave them an ATM card, along with the PIN, and asked them to go to their aunt's house after school. The accused told the children that he and Urmila had to go out for some work, the police said.
When the daughter returned home from school later in the day, she found her mother lying in a pool of blood and immediately informed her relatives and the police.
Upon receiving the information, the police reached the scene and began an investigation. The body has been sent for a post-mortem examination, and police teams have been formed to locate and arrest the absconding accused.
Though the motive behind the murder was not immediately known, the victim's brother, Rajkumar Malakar, claimed a past instance of domestic dispute between the couple required police intervention when the family used to live in Bhopal.
He said that Urmila wanted to continue in the marriage for the sake of her children.
Noting claims that there used to be minor arguments between the couple, the police said the case will be investigated from all possible angles.
