Woman gets her mother killed for govt job, property, stages it as road accident
Police said a Jaipur court employee was allegedly killed in a planned hit linked to her daughter and relatives. Investigators alleged the motive was a government job and a long-running property dispute.

A 45-year-old court employee was murdered in a carefully planned hit orchestrated by her daughter, who wanted to secure her mother's government job and property, police said. Seven people have been arrested in connection with the case, while one key accused remains absconding.
The incident took place at around 4:45 pm on July 3 in Jaipur. According to police, victim Neeraj Sharma, who worked as a Lower Division Clerk (LDC) in a court, was returning home after dropping her son at a coaching institute when a Scorpio SUV rammed into her at a speed of around 130 kmph. The impact threw her nearly 100 feet away, killing her on the spot. The driver fled the scene immediately after the incident.
Police examined CCTV footage from the area and found that the collision was not an accident but a premeditated murder. The investigation later uncovered a conspiracy involving members of the victim's own family.
DCP East Ranjita Sharma said Neeraj Sharma's husband had died about a year ago. Following his death, Neeraj received a compassionate appointment as an LDC. According to the investigation, her daughter, Ayushi Sharma, wanted the government job for herself but Neeraj accepted the appointment instead. Police said Ayushi had also been involved in a property dispute with her mother for the past two to three years.
Investigators alleged that Ayushi conspired with her uncle, Mohan Swaroop, and cousin, Balram alias Ravi, to eliminate Neeraj. The trio hired Bharatpur resident Hemant Sharma by offering him a contract worth Rs 7 lakh to carry out the murder.
Police said the accused initially rented a Thar SUV and conducted surveillance on the victim for several days but failed to execute the plan. They then continued monitoring her movements for nearly a month before carrying out the attack using the Scorpio SUV.
According to the investigation, the accused coordinated the crime on the day of the murder. Mohit Sharma tracked and shared Neeraj's live location, while Rohit Jatav stayed nearby on a motorcycle. Akash Sharma drove the Scorpio, with Arvind Sharma accompanying him inside the vehicle. After the murder, the accused abandoned the Scorpio and fled on a motorcycle, police said.
The victim's brother, Rakesh Kumar Sharma, later filed a police complaint. He told investigators that Neeraj had previously informed him that her daughter, members of her in-laws' family and her elder brother-in-law's son had been harassing her over property. He also said she had received repeated death threats.
During questioning, police said Ayushi confessed that she wanted her late father's government job after his death. When her mother joined the post under compassionate appointment, she decided to remove her in order to gain both the government job and the property.
Police have arrested Ayushi Sharma, Mohan Swaroop, Mohit Sharma, Akash Sharma, Arvind Sharma, Hemant Sharma and Rohit Jatav in the case. Balram alias Ravi, who police identified as one of the main conspirators, remains absconding, and efforts to trace him are underway.
