Watch: 7-foot python found in Meerut grocery shop, rescued after 3-hour operation

A routine day at a confectionery shop in Meerut turned into a dramatic rescue operation after a giant python was spotted inside the store. The incident occurred in the Civil Lines area, where employees were left stunned after noticing the reptile hiding within the premises. Panic quickly spread, prompting workers to rush out of the shop and alert authorities. Soon, curious locals gathered outside as the news spread. A forest department team arrived at the scene and launched a rescue operation. Due to the snake's hiding spot, capturing it proved challenging. After nearly three hours of effort, rescuers safely caught the approximately seven-foot-long python and took it away. No injuries were reported in the incident.
