Noida woman accuses husband of assault, pushing her down stairs on honeymoon
The woman alleged that her husband of barely two months began physically assaulting her from the very next day after their wedding. She further alleged that he continued the assault and threatened to kill her throughout their honeymoon in Sikkim and Darjeeling.
A newlywed woman in Noida approached the police soon after returning from her honeymoon, accusing her husband of pushing her down a hotel staircase, assaulting her, and threatening to kill her.
According to her complaint with the police, the couple got married on April 30. The woman alleged that her husband began abusing and assaulting her from the very next day after the wedding.
She claimed that they left for their honeymoon to Sikkim and Darjeeling on May 4. However, she alleged that her husband's abusive behaviour continued throughout the trip.
On May 9, while they were staying at a hotel during the honeymoon, her husband allegedly pushed her down a flight of stairs, causing serious injuries to both her knees, head and back. She also alleged that he threatened to kill her during the incident.
The woman further claimed that after the couple returned to Noida, she told her husband she intended to file a police complaint. However, he allegedly assaulted and threatened her again before leaving the house.
After undergoing a medico-legal examination (MLC), the woman lodged a complaint at the Sector-113 police station. Police have registered a case against the accused husband and launched an investigation into the matter.
