Siya Goyal had Ketan's phone after death, cops probe possible tampering
Police are examining whether Ketan Agarwal's phone was tampered with after his death. The finding could sharpen the conspiracy case against his fiancée Siya Goyal and her boyfriend Chetan Chaudhary.

Amid the ongoing probe into the murder of 25-year-old realtor Ketan Agarwal, investigators have revealed that his mobile phone remained with his fiancee Siya Goyal for some time after he was pushed to his death from Lohagad Fort in Pune on June 18.
In the wake of this latest development, the police are now examining whether any data, messages or other evidence was deleted or altered after his death and before the phone was handed over to his family.
Agarwal, who was engaged and scheduled to marry in November, was pushed off the cliff by Goyal and her boyfriend Chetan Chaudhary. The duo, aged 20 and 22 respectively, were arrested and are currently in police custody till Friday.
Seeking an extension of custody, the prosecution told the court that investigators needed more time to examine the phone-related evidence and determine whether any crucial information was deleted while the device was with Goyal.
A police official said the investigation indicated that the phone came into Goyal’s possession after the alleged incident at the fort.
“She later handed over the phone to his family. We are investigating whether any crucial evidence was deleted or tampered with while the phone was in her possession,” the official said.
As part of the investigation, Pune Police on Wednesday recreated the sequence of events at Lohagad Fort with co-accused Chetan.
Police took him to the spot where Agarwal allegedly fell and reconstructed the events to understand his role.
A similar exercise was carried out earlier with Goyal, during which police used a dummy to recreate the fall from the cliff.
Police are also investigating the alleged motive behind the crime.
According to the complaint filed by Ketan's father Vishal Agarwal, his son had expressed concerns over Siya's closeness to Chetan.
The complaint reportedly stated that Ketan had noticed Chetan's name frequently coming up during conversations with Siya.
