15 feared trapped as building collapses in Pune, rescue operations on

At least fifteen workers are feared trapped after a two-storey administrative building at a waste-to-energy project collapsed in Moshi, Pune, following a landslide of legacy waste triggered by heavy rainfall. The facility is a project of the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation. Out of twenty workers inside the structure at the time of the incident, five have been safely rescued, while fifteen remain trapped. A rescue operations are underway at the site, with teams from the National Disaster Response Force, local fire services, police, and the army deployed to clear the debris. Authorities have established telephonic contact with the trapped workers, confirming they are currently safe as efforts continue to extricate them.
