Scoring 371 out of 400 marks (92.75%), Sakshi Suresh Jain has secured All India Rank 1 in the CA Foundation May 2026 exam conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).

Originally from Pachora in Maharashtra’s Jalgaon district and currently studying in Nashik, Sakshi has emerged as the top scorer in a highly competitive national examination.

Her success, however, came during a difficult personal phase. Just a month before the exam, her father underwent open-heart surgery in Chennai, placing the family under emotional strain during her final preparation period.

“I was terrified when my father underwent surgery,” Sakshi recalled. "My mother Mousami Jain, my uncles, and my grandparents gave me courage. They simply told me, "Don’t worry about your father; we will take care of him, just study."

FOCUS AMID THE STORM

Despite the family crisis, Sakshi continued her preparation without interruption. She had been studying at Impact Commerce Academy and maintained a disciplined routine, preparing for nearly 10–12 hours a day.

"I always kept some time to refresh myself. Otherwise, there comes a point when both the body and the mind become exhausted," she says.

Her approach combined consistency with structured breaks. She ensured she did not overwork herself to exhaustion, balancing focus with rest. According to her family, she stayed fully committed while also staying mentally stable through regular encouragement from home.

Sakshi’s father, a grain merchant in Pachora, has been a strong influence in her academic journey, along with her extended family who supported her throughout the preparation period.

THE FAMILY THAT HELD IT TOGETHER

Sakshi has often credited her family as the backbone of her success. During her father’s hospitalisation, she says the family shielded her from stress so she could focus entirely on her exams.

"I found friends and people around me who kept encouraging me throughout my journey," she says.

Their message was simple: stay focused on studies, everything else will be handled at home. That emotional support, she says, helped her remain steady during one of the most stressful phases of her life.

When the results were announced, Sakshi and her family were overcome with emotion. What she had expected to be a top-20 rank turned into a national topper position, bringing tears of joy at home and celebrations in her native village.

A felicitation and procession were later organised in Pachora to honour her achievement.

Sakshi has consistently been a high achiever. She previously scored 498 out of 500 marks (99.8%) in CBSE board examinations, showing early academic excellence.

Her long-term goal remains clear, complete her CA qualification and build a career in the field of accountancy. She is now preparing for the CA Intermediate level.

For Sakshi, this result is not the end, but the beginning of a longer journey in one of India’s most challenging professional courses.

THE JOURNEY CONTINUES

For Sakshi, topping the CA Foundation examination is only the first milestone.

"One must keep working honestly and give one's best. Hard work always pays off," she says.

She has now begun preparing for the CA Intermediate examination while continuing her B.Com studies. Her long-term goal is to secure top ranks in the Intermediate and Final levels as well.

Her achievement also serves as a reminder that behind many academic successes are families who quietly shoulder life's biggest challenges so that their children can continue chasing their dreams.
