CBSE declares over 99.7% of Class 12 re-evaluation results; rest coming soon

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced that it has declared the outcomes of more than 99.7% of applications received for Verification of Issues Observed and Re-evaluation of the Class 12 Board Examination 2026.

In a statement issued on Sunday, the board said the revised results have been released in batches since June 21, with the remaining cases now in the final stages of processing. These are expected to be declared shortly.

The announcement brings relief to thousands of students who had been waiting for revised scores, especially after concerns were raised over delays affecting college admissions. Earlier this week, India Today.in, had reported that more than 20,000 students were awaiting the outcome of their re-evaluation applications even as CUET UG 2026 results had already been declared, leaving many worried about admission timelines.

RE-EVALUATION PROCESS WAS SMOOTH AND TIMELY: CBSE

CBSE also pointed out that the post-result review process has moved faster this year than in 2025. While the board began releasing re-evaluation outcomes on June 21, 2026, last year’s exercise started on June 27 and continued until July 11, 2025, indicating a significantly quicker turnaround.

The board introduced a revised post-result mechanism this year, allowing students to first obtain scanned copies of their evaluated answer books before applying for verification of specific issues or seeking re-evaluation of individual answers. According to the board, the process was carried out under the supervision of technical experts from IIT Kanpur, IIT Madras, and the Digital India Corporation to ensure the integrity and security of the system.

Students whose applications resulted in no change in marks have also been given an opportunity to inspect their answer books at the concerned CBSE regional offices, with the board stating that detailed schedules would be communicated separately.

CBSE has advised students and parents to rely only on official updates and not be misled by rumours or unverified posts circulating on social media. The remaining re-evaluation outcomes are expected to be uploaded in the coming days.
