CBSE Class 12 supplementary exam 2026 on July 28, LOC submission begins

CBSE has begun the online submission of the List of Candidates (LOC) for the Class 12 Supplementary Examination 2026 through schools. Eligible students must contact their schools by July 8 for registration. The supplementary examination is scheduled to be held on July 28, 2026.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has opened the online submission of the List of Candidates (LOC) for the Class 12 Supplementary Examination 2026 from June 30. The registration process will be carried out by schools through the Pariksha Sangam portal on the official CBSE website.

Eligible students cannot register on their own and must contact the schools through which they appeared for the CBSE Class 12 Board Examination 2026. Schools have been asked to submit candidate details online by July 8. The board has also instructed schools to reach out to all eligible students so that no one misses the chance to appear for the supplementary exam.

As per the official schedule, the CBSE Class 12 Supplementary Examination 2026 will be held on July 28, 2026.

GUIDELINES FOR REGULAR STUDENTS

Students who appeared as regular candidates from CBSE-affiliated schools in the 2025–26 academic session and have been declared in the compartment category must approach the school through which they appeared for the Main Examination 2026. Their school will submit their details online through the List of Candidates (LOC) process.

CBSE has also instructed affiliated schools to actively reach out to eligible compartment students and inform them about their eligibility to appear for the Supplementary Examination 2026.

GUIDELINES FOR PRIVATE STUDENTS

Regular students from the 2024–25 academic session who are appearing for their third compartment attempt can apply only as Private Candidates, CBSE has clarified.

The board has also stated that only private candidates who complete the online application process and pay the prescribed examination fee within the specified deadline will be allowed to appear for the Supplementary Examination 2026.

Additionally, students who appeared as regular candidates in 2024–25 or as private candidates in 2025–26, and whose result has been declared as 'Compartment', must submit their applications online.

FEE STRUCTURE AND KEY DETAILS

CBSE has fixed the examination fee at Rs 320 per subject for schools in India. For schools in Nepal, the fee is Rs 1,100 per subject, while candidates from schools outside India will have to pay Rs 2,200 per subject.

The board has also clarified that a consolidated marksheet will be issued only to students whose result in the 2026 Main Examination was declared as Compartment and who successfully clear the Supplementary Examination 2026.

According to the official notification, students can appear for the supplementary examination in 90 subjects, covering nearly all major subjects offered by CBSE. The complete subject-wise list is available on the board's official website.
