CBSE Class 12 supplementary exam 2026: LOC submission begins today, check eligibility
The CBSE will start the online submission of the List of Candidates (LOC) for the Class 12 Supplementary Examination 2026 through the PARIKSHA SANGAM portal today. Eligible compartment and improvement candidates can apply as per the board's guidelines, while schools have been asked to complete the submission within the prescribed schedule.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will begin the online submission of the List of Candidates (LOC) for the Class 12 Supplementary Examination 2026 from today, June 30, 2026. As per an official notification, schools can submit the LOC through the PARIKSHA SANGAM portal available on the CBSE website.
Schools are required to submit the LOC online within the prescribed schedule for eligible students appearing in the supplementary examinations.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
CBSE has specified the following categories of students who are eligible to apply for the Class 12 Supplementary Examination 2026:
Compartment (First Chance): Students who appeared in the Class 12 Board Examination for the first time in 2026 and were declared in the compartment category.
Improvement of Performance (after replacement of subject): Students who passed the Main Examination 2026 after replacing one or more subjects and wish to improve their performance.
Improvement in One Subject: Students who have passed the Class 12 Main Examination 2026 and want to improve their score in one subject from the list of permissible subjects notified by the board.
WHAT REGULAR STUDENTS NEED TO DO
Students who appeared as regular candidates from CBSE-affiliated schools during the 2025-26 academic session and have been placed in the compartment category must contact the school from which they appeared in the Main Examination 2026. The concerned school will sponsor their candidature by submitting their details through the online LOC process.
CBSE has also directed affiliated schools to proactively contact students placed in the compartment category and inform them about their eligibility for the supplementary examination.

GUIDELINES FOR PRIVATE CANDIDATES
The board has clarified that regular students of the 2024-25 session who are appearing for the compartment examination as their third chance can apply only under the Private Candidate category.
Further, only those private candidates who submit the online application form along with the prescribed examination fee within the stipulated schedule will be permitted to appear in the Supplementary Examination 2026.
Students who appeared as regular candidates in the 2024-25 session or as private candidates in the 2025-26 session, and whose results have been declared as 'Compartment', are required to submit their applications online.

IMPORTANT REMINDER
CBSE has advised all eligible students to complete the application process within the notified timeline. The board has made it clear that no application or candidature will be accepted after the deadline, and students are encouraged to coordinate with their schools or complete the online application process well before the last date to avoid any last-minute issues.
