DU admissions enter Phase II: UG aspirants can fill programme, college preferences
The University of Delhi has started Phase II of its Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS-UG) 2026 from July 3, allowing undergraduate aspirants who have completed Phase I to fill their programme and college preferences for admission through CUET-UG 2026.

The University of Delhi has opened Phase II of its Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS-UG) 2026 for undergraduate admissions for the 2026-27 academic session. The phase which starts on July 3, will remain open until 11:59 pm on July 11.
Candidates who have completed Phase I registration can now log in to the admission portal to complete subject mapping and submit their preferred combinations of programmes and colleges.
As part of the process, applicants are required to map the subjects they studied in Class 12 with the corresponding CUET UG 2026 test papers. The university has clarified that candidates must have appeared in CUET in the subjects in which they passed Class 12, with language and domain-specific subjects required to be similar or closely related to those studied in school.
PREFERENCE FILLING BEGINS
During Phase II, candidates can choose as many programme-college combinations as they wish, subject to eligibility criteria. Delhi University has advised applicants to carefully arrange their preferences since the order of selection plays a crucial role in seat allocation.
Candidates can reorder their choices multiple times before the deadline using the portal's preference management options. However, only the combinations that are saved before the deadline will be considered for allocation.
SIMULATED RANKS ON JULY 12
The university will publish simulated ranks at 5 pm on July 12, giving candidates an opportunity to assess their likely position before the preference editing window opens.
Applicants will then be able to modify or reorder their preferences from 5 pm on July 12 until 4:59 pm on July 13.
FIRST ALLOCATION FROM JULY 16
The first CSAS allocation list will be announced at 5 pm on July 16.
Candidates allotted seats in the first round must accept their seats between July 16 and July 18, while colleges will verify applications until July 20. The deadline for payment of admission fees in the first round is July 21.
The second allocation list will be released on July 25, with fee payment for Round 2 closing on July 28.
Delhi University is offering admissions to 73 bachelor's programmes and 150 BA programme combinations this year through the CSAS portal based on CUET UG 2026 scores. The university has also retained the upgrade or freeze option, allowing admitted candidates to seek higher preferences in subsequent rounds after paying the admission fee.
