JoSAA 2026 Round 3 seat allotment released, report online by July 8
JoSAA released the Round 3 seat allotment results on 6 July for admissions across premier engineering institutes. Candidates must complete reporting, fee payment and document checks on schedule to retain their allotted seats.

The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has announced the Round 3 seat allotment results on July 6. This round is part of a five-round centralised counselling process for admissions into 23 IITs, 31 NITs, IIEST Shibpur, 26 IIITs, and 56 GFTIs.
Candidates allotted seats must adhere to the following strictly enforced schedule to confirm their admissions:
- Online Reporting & Fee Payment: Candidates must complete online reporting, including document upload and seat acceptance fee payment, between July 6 and July 8 (5:00 PM).
- Last Date for Fee Payment: The final deadline to pay the seat acceptance fee is Wednesday, July 8 by 5 pm.
- Withdrawal/ Exit Window: Students wishing to exit the seat allocation process or withdraw their seats can do so from July 7 to July 8.
- Query Resolution: The deadline to respond to document verification or fee-related queries is July 9 by 5 pm.
STEPS FOR ALLOTTED CANDIDATES
Check Status: Visit the official JoSAA website and log in with your credentials to download the provisional seat allotment letter .
Choose Options: Candidates must select from Freeze, Float, or Slide options. "Freeze" confirms the current seat, while "Float" and "Slide" allow candidates to seek better preferences in subsequent rounds.
Pay Fees: The seat acceptance fee is Rs 35,000 for General/ OBC-NCL/ EWS categories and Rs 15,000 for SC/ ST/ PwD candidates.
Document Verification: Upload necessary documents (such as Class 12 marksheet, JEE rank card, and category certificate) for online verification by officials.
JoSAA has advised candidates to regularly monitor the portal for any queries raised by verifying officers, as failure to respond by the July 9 deadline may lead to the cancellation of the allotted seat.
The seat allocation list for Round 4 will be released on Friday, 10 July, at 5 pm. Students have until July 13 (5 pm) to complete online reporting, which includes fee payment, document upload, and responding to queries.
