The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Health and Family Welfare will meet on June 10 to review the conduct of NEET under the provisions of the NMC Act, 2019. The meeting is part of the committee's broader examination of the structure, mandate and efficiency of regulatory institutions under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

TOP OFFICIALS SUMMONED

The panel has called the Union Health Secretary and Higher Education Secretary to present their views. Senior officials from the National Medical Commission (NMC) and the National Testing Agency (NTA) have also been summoned.

The discussion is expected to focus on how NEET is conducted, the transparency of examination processes, accountability mechanisms and the effectiveness of regulatory oversight.
