Over 1 lakh candidates download NEET re-exam admit cards as 22 lakh await test
The NTA said more than 1 lakh candidates have downloaded NEET re-exam admit cards despite portal issues. Students reported maintenance messages and blank screens as the agency cited heavy server load and asked them to keep checking the website.

More than one lakh candidates have already downloaded their admit cards for the upcoming NEET re-examination, the National Testing Agency (NTA) said, even as some students reported difficulties accessing the portal.
The agency stated that candidates are required to verify their bank account details after logging in through a two-factor authentication process before they can download their admit cards. According to the NTA, this step has been introduced in the interest of students to facilitate the refund process.
"Around 100,000 students have already downloaded their Admit Cards. The functionality of verifying your Bank Account details for refund, after login with 2-factor authentication, is in the interest of students only," the agency said.
The NTA acknowledged that its servers are currently experiencing heavy traffic but assured candidates that efforts are underway to ensure smooth access.
"There is load on our servers, but our teams are working to ensure that all candidates are able to download their Admit Cards," it added.
STUDENTS FACE TECHNICAL CHALLENGES
Several candidates reported facing difficulties while attempting to access their admit cards. Students said the website displayed messages such as "under maintenance" or blank screens during the bank account verification process.
Some candidates also claimed they were unable to proceed after entering their details, raising concerns about delays in downloading hall tickets ahead of the examination.
The issue comes after the NTA had earlier warned students about possible server load due to the large number of candidates accessing the portal simultaneously.
Despite the complaints, the agency maintained that a significant number of students have already completed the process and downloaded their admit cards successfully.
Candidates have been advised to keep checking the official website and complete the verification process as server traffic eases.
