NEET UG 2026 re-test: NTA debunks rumours, calls viral question paper video fake
NTA has dismissed a viral social media video claiming to show a NEET UG 2026 re-examination booklet being opened, calling it fake. The agency confirmed there has been no question paper leak and advised students to rely only on official updates.

A video circulating on social media claiming to show a NEET UG 2026 re-examination booklet being opened has been declared fake by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
In a statement shared on social media, NTA has retweeted a PIB tweet and has clarified that the packet shown in the video does not contain the mandatory OMR Answer Sheet that is provided along with the official NEET (UG) examination booklet. The agency also pointed out several inconsistencies in the video, raising doubts about its authenticity.
NTA further stated that no individual, institution, or platform has access to NEET (UG) 2026 question papers before the commencement of the examination.
Rejecting claims of a paper leak, the testing agency confirmed that the NEET (UG) 2026 question paper has not been leaked and that the examination is being conducted as per the scheduled plan.
Students appearing for NEET UG 2026 have been advised to rely only on official updates from NTA and avoid spreading unverified information on social media.

In other news, the National Testing Agency has said it is sending reminder SMS messages, emails and WhatsApp notifications to candidates to download their admit cards for the NEET-UG 2026 re-examination on June 21. It also warned students against fraudulent messages and said they should use only official channels.
The exam for admission to medical courses was originally held on May 3, but was cancelled on May 12 after allegations of a paper leak. The Central Bureau of Investigation is investigating the matter.
