NEET re-exam: 3 students climb college gate after missing entry deadline in Bengaluru
Three girl students climbed the main gate at a Bengaluru college after reaching their NEET-UG re-examination centre late. The episode underscored how gate closure rules leave no scope for entry once the deadline passes.

Three girl students attempted to enter their NEET-UG re-examination centre by climbing over the main gate after arriving late at a college in Bengaluru on Saturday.
The incident took place at Government Ramnarayan College, where the students reached the venue shortly after the 1:30 pm gate closure time prescribed for the examination.
Visuals from the spot showed the students scaling the main gate and jumping into the campus in an effort to reach the examination centre before the test began. However, their attempt did not succeed as the inner gate leading to the exam hall had already been shut by authorities.
With access to the examination centre blocked, the students were unable to appear for the re-examination. Videos circulating online later showed them climbing back out of the campus after realising they would not be allowed entry.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted the NEET-UG re-examination on June 21 from 2 pm to 5:15 pm under strict guidelines. Candidates were required to report well in advance, and entry to examination centres was closed at 1:30 pm.
Authorities have repeatedly advised students to reach their centres early to complete frisking, identity verification and other security checks before the deadline.
The incident highlights the consequences of missing the prescribed reporting time, as examination rules do not permit entry after the gates are closed, regardless of the reason for the delay.
