Yogi Adityanath launches UP school enrolment drive, urges education for every child
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced the second phase of School Chalo Abhiyan from July 1 to 15 to boost school enrolment and bring dropouts back to classrooms, urging teachers, parents and citizens to ensure every child receives an education.

Determined to bring every child into the classroom, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced the second phase of the School Chalo Abhiyan, beginning July 1.
Running until July 15, the campaign seeks to achieve universal school enrolment, re-enrol children who have dropped out and ensure that no child is denied the right to education.
In a message to the people of Uttar Pradesh, CM Yogi said that July is not just the beginning of a new month but also a renewed commitment to fulfilling the dreams of lakhs of children by connecting them with schools.
He reiterated that "no child should remain deprived of education" and urged parents, teachers and citizens to work together to make the campaign a success.
Describing education as the greatest strength, he said schools are more than centres of learning, they shape discipline, values, confidence and character, laying the foundation for a brighter future.
TEACHERS AND PARENTS HAVE A KEY ROLE
The Chief Minister appealed to teachers to make classrooms more engaging through sports, activity-based learning and interactive teaching so that children enjoy coming to school rather than seeing it as just another daily routine.
He also urged parents not to judge their children solely by examination marks but to value their determination, confidence and hard work. Stressing that regular attendance is equally important, he said families must ensure children remain connected with their schools throughout the academic year.
GOVERNMENT'S PUSH TO IMPROVE SCHOOL EDUCATION
Highlighting the state's efforts to strengthen the education system, CM Yogi referred to several flagship initiatives, including Project Alankar for modernising secondary schools, Operation Kayakalp for improving school infrastructure, and Mission Prerna and Mission Nipun to enhance the quality of teaching and learning outcomes.
He also underlined the contribution of the Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya scheme in expanding educational opportunities for girls and noted that nutritious cooked meals in government schools continue to support children's health and learning.
FOCUS ON EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION AND ATTENDANCE
Along with enrolling out-of-school children, the campaign will focus on improving regular attendance and encouraging parents to enrol children aged 3 to 6 years in Bal Vatika programmes, helping build a strong educational foundation from an early age.
A CALL TO MAKE IT A PEOPLE'S MOVEMENT
Appealing for widespread public participation, CM Yogi said the School Chalo Abhiyan should become a true people's movement. He stressed that if any child is still out of school, it is a collective responsibility to ensure they are enrolled and given the opportunity to learn.
"The future of Uttar Pradesh will become brighter only when every child receives a quality education," he said, urging every citizen to contribute towards building a state where every child has the chance to study, grow and realise their full potential.
