Four days late, then login errors: CBSE re-evaluation portal faces fresh trouble
After four days of delay and revised schedules, CBSE's re-evaluation portal went live on June 2 before students reported fresh access issues, adding to concerns around answer-sheet verification and admissions.

The CBSE Class 12 re-evaluation and verification portal faced fresh trouble after students claimed they faced login errors shortly after the process was declared "live." Most of them faced a "frozen" screen after uploading all their login details.
Some students even shared videos of the errors noted online. Watch here
There were others who reported similar login issues with the portal.
CAN CBSE GET ANYTHING RIGHT: STUDENTS
The development came after several delays and repeated assurances from the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) that the post-result services platform would be operational from June 1, when earlier it was supposed to be live on May 29, 2026.
The board had also announced the launch on social media more than once in recent days. However, shortly after students began accessing the platform, reports of inaccessibility and loading issues surfaced again.
The disruption affects more than 4,04,319 of students expected to apply for verification of marks, photocopies of answer sheets and re-evaluation requests this year.
Amid the controversy surrounding CBSE's new On-Screen Marking (OSM) system, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan had estimated that nearly one in five students who accessed their evaluated answer books could seek verification or re-evaluation, potentially resulting in as many as 80,000 applications.
In an exclusive interview with India Today, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan estimated that 15–20 percent of students who viewed their answer sheets may eventually seek verification of marks or re-evaluation.
If that projection holds, CBSE could receive between 60,000 and 80,000 formal challenges, potentially one of the largest post-result review exercises in the Board's history.
TECHNICAL COMPLAINTS HAVE BEEN BUILDING FOR WEEKS
The re-evaluation process has remained under scrutiny since the declaration of Class 12 results.
Students and parents have reported payment gateway failures, excess fee deductions, missing receipts, login issues and difficulties accessing scanned answer sheets. Some candidates also claimed that answer-book copies were blurred, incomplete or did not match their original responses.
The designated portal had earlier faced heavy traffic on opening day in May, leading to disruptions and intermittent shutdowns.
STUDENTS WAIT AS ADMISSION SEASON BEGINS
The delays have increased anxiety among students hoping to improve marks before college admissions and counselling rounds begin.
With the portal facing repeated disruptions despite schedule revisions, many candidates remain unsure about when they will finally be able to complete the verification and re-evaluation process without technical interruptions.
As of now, CBSE has not announced any further extension or fresh timeline beyond the revised June 1 activation schedule.
