NEET UG 2026 cancellation has triggered one of the biggest exam crises in recent years, leaving over 22 lakh students in uncertainty. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially cancelled the NEET UG exam held on May 3 after allegations of a ‘guess paper’ leak raised serious concerns about the integrity of the test. The decision came after inputs from central agencies suggested the exam process may have been compromised, forcing the government to step in and order a CBI probe.
The controversy began in Rajasthan, where investigators found that a handwritten “guess paper” circulated before the exam allegedly matched a large number of actual questions.
As the NEET paper leak 2026 row escalated, reports of over 100 questions overlapping with the final exam shook confidence in the system. With fairness under question, authorities decided that allowing the exam to stand would damage trust further.
NTA has now confirmed that NEET UG 2026 will be re-conducted, with fresh dates expected soon. No fresh registration will be required, and existing candidates will be accommodated in the re-exam.
Stay tuned for NEET UG 2026 cancelled live updates, re-exam date announcements, and the latest on the CBI probe into the paper leak case.
