The All India NR Congress (AINRC) has emerged as the frontrunner, winning 9 seats and leading in 2 more, taking its tally to 11 in the 30-member House. The party’s strong performance has powered the NDA alliance past the majority mark.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has secured 2 seats and is leading in 2 others, while ally Latchiya Jananayaka Katchi (LJK) has won 1 seat. Together, the NDA combine has crossed the crucial 16-seat threshold, positioning itself to form the next government in the Union Territory.
On the other side, the Congress-led bloc is trailing, with the Indian National Congress (INC) managing just 1 win so far. The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) has put up a modest show, winning 2 seats and leading in 3.
Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) has made a noticeable entry, winning 2 seats and leading in 1, while the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) and Neyam Makkal Kazhagam (NYMK) have picked up one seat each.
