After a landlide victory in the Bihar Assembly elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrated the NDA’s win with party workers at the BJP headquarters in Delhi and launched an attack on the Mahagathbandhan. Taking a veiled jibe at RJD president Lalu Prasad Yadav and the “jungle raj” during his reign, PM Modi said that the people have quit supporting those who are out on bail.
“Bihar, the birthplace of democracy, has shown the destroyers of democracy their place. Bihar has proved that truth only truimphs, making it amply clear that those who are out on bail, will no longer enjoy the people’s support. Now, India has been voting for true social justice,”.
The NDA won over 200 seats in the Bihar elections, with the RJD-led Mahagathbandhan confined to a little over 30. Watch PM Modi’s full speech after Bihar election results here.
