Following the BJP's victory in the West Bengal assembly elections, Amit Shah is scheduled to chair an MLA meeting to finalize the state leadership. Suvendu Adhikari has emerged as the frontrunner for the Chief Minister position. The BJP plans to appoint two Deputy Chief Ministers in the new government. One of the Deputy Chief Minister posts will be given to a woman, acknowledging the electoral support from female voters. The second Deputy Chief Minister is expected to be selected from either the Matua community or North Bengal, aiming to maintain regional and caste representation. The swearing-in ceremony will take place tomorrow at the Brigade Ground, with the Prime Minister, Home Minister, and Chief Ministers of BJP-ruled states in attendance. Only the Chief Minister and the two Deputy Chief Ministers will take the oath during this initial ceremony, while the full cabinet expansion will occur at a later date.
