Sonu Nigam undergoes treatment for painful nerve condition ahead of Mumbai concert
Sonu Nigam shared that he is battling pinched nerves and has been undergoing medical tests and treatment for the past week. Despite the pain and its impact on his throat, the singer has assured fans that he will perform at his Mumbai concert on June 27.

Singer Sonu Nigam has opened up about a painful health condition that he is currently battling, revealing that he has been undergoing medical tests and treatment over the past week. Despite the discomfort and its impact on his voice, the singer has assured fans that he remains committed to performing at his upcoming concert in Mumbai.
Ahead of the live show, Sonu shared a video on social media in which he spoke about his health struggles. The singer revealed that he has been dealing with pinched nerves and has undergone multiple scans to determine the extent of the issue.
Speaking about his condition, he said, "My nerves are pinched. I have been taking MRI and CT scans for a week. I have been taking a lot of medicines."
Sonu also shed light on the treatment process, admitting that the pain has been difficult to manage. According to the singer, physiotherapy sessions have been particularly challenging, forcing him to rely on painkillers for relief.
"Physiotherapy was very painful. I am taking painkillers now. Due to that, my throat is also a little heavy," he said.
The singer further explained that the medicines prescribed to relax the affected muscles have had an impact on his throat. For a vocalist known for his powerful voice, even minor changes can become a concern, especially ahead of a live performance.
However, Sonu made it clear that he has no intention of cancelling his concert. The singer said he would be taking the stage after a long time and was determined to honour his commitment to fans despite the health setback.
Sonu is scheduled to perform live in Mumbai on June 27 at Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC).
