Triptii Dimri was my biggest source of support on Maa Behen: Actor Dharna Durga
Dharna Durga said Triptii Dimri became a key support during the shoot of Maa Behen. She also said the Netflix film's response and audience connection have surpassed her expectations.

Content creator-turned-actor Dharna Durga says the response to her Netflix outing Maa Behen has been far beyond what she imagined. The actor, who has earned praise for her performance in the film, shared her experience of working with Triptii Dimri.
In an exclusive interaction with India Today, the 26-year-old actor revealed that Dimri became one of her biggest support systems during the shoot.
“Triptii and I spoke about a lot of things during the shoot. She was honestly one of my biggest sources of support on set. I'd been a fan of her work long before we worked together, so getting to share screen space with her was very special. As someone who's still learning, I found myself picking up a lot from the way she approaches her craft. She's incredibly disciplined, deeply committed to her work, and at the same time so grounded and grateful," Dharna said.
Having said that, she was asked whether the journey from making reels in her room to working alongside actors like Madhuri Dixit and Dimri has changed how she sees herself. Dharna said she is focused on learning rather than proving a point.
"Getting to work alongside artistes I admire has been a privilege, and more than anything, it has made me excited to keep learning and growing. Right now, all I really see is the love people have shown me and the film. The messages, comments, and support have been incredibly overwhelming in the best way, and I'm just very grateful for it,” she added.
The actor has been on the receiving end of appreciation from all quarters ever since the film started streaming on the streaming giant. Dharna shared that she did not expect it's characters to resonate so deeply with viewers.
Talking about the response to the film, she said, "You always hope people will connect with something you've worked hard on, but the scale of the response has definitely been overwhelming in the best way. It's been very special to see how many people have embraced these characters."
For Dharna, the biggest validation has come from audience reactions that blurred the line between fiction and reality. "Honestly, one of the nicest reactions has been people telling me that they know a Sushma, a Rekha, or a Jaya in their own lives. Some have even said they saw a little bit of themselves in one of the three women. This is rewarding because it means the characters felt real and relatable beyond the screen," she said.
When asked if the success of Maa Behen changed the kind of offers coming her way, she responded, "It's still very early to say whether it's changed the kind of opportunities coming my way. Right now, I'm just happy that people have connected with the film and the characters and I'm still reading messages and DMs from people who have watched the film, and honestly, I'm just taking it all in,” she concluded.
Released on Netflix on June 4, Maa Behen stars Madhuri Dixit, Triptii Dimri, Dharna Durga and Ravi Kishan. The film has drawn praise for its exploration of everyday sexism and the ways women negotiate personal choices within restrictive social environments.
