Actor Gautami Kapoor has publicly backed her husband, Ram Kapoor, after his comments on infidelity and marriage on Lock Upp Season 2 triggered widespread debate online. Amid the social media backlash over Ram's statement that infidelity is "not a deal breaker" in a marriage if love still exists, Gautami appeared to put speculation to rest with a heartfelt message on Instagram.

The 52-year-old actor shared a cheerful picture with Ram on her Instagram Stories and wrote, "Only love @ramkapoor." She followed it up with a reel featuring Sadhguru speaking about love and trust. In the clip, Sadhguru says, "If love is true it will happen without an object. If it's really genuine true love... you have made your emotions very pleasant. Everything that you behold you have a certain pleasantness towards it, that is love." The posts were widely seen as Gautami's response to the controversy surrounding Ram's remarks.

Ram's comments came during a recent episode of Lock Upp, where he reflected on long-term relationships and how couples navigate difficult phases. Speaking about marriage, he said that relationships spanning two decades inevitably experience highs and lows, adding that if one partner makes a mistake during a rough patch but genuinely realises they cannot live without their spouse or family, "time heals everything" and "nothing is a deal breaker". He also described such situations as something that can happen "by mistake".

Ram Kapoor opens up about trust and marriage

The actor also addressed his on-screen kissing scenes, saying it is a husband's responsibility to ensure his wife feels secure, loved and emotionally safe. He added that Gautami has never objected to him performing romantic scenes with co-stars because of the trust they share.

Ram and Gautami's relationship dates back to the early 2000s when they met on the sets of Ghar Ek Mandir. Their friendship blossomed into romance, and the couple got married on February 14, 2003. They are parents to two children, daughter Sia and son Aks, and frequently share glimpses of their family life and light-hearted moments on social media.
