Her entry comes shortly after she made headlines for admitting that the sexual harassment complaint she had filed against producer Sanjay Kohli in 2017 was false.
In the promo shared by the streaming platform, Shilpa hinted at turning the game on its head as she prepared to enter the house.
She says in the video, “Suna hai sab log andar apni-apni gaddi jamae baithe hain. Lekin unhein keh do jab tak koi bahar ka andar kadam nahi rakhta, tab tak hi unka raaj chalta rahega (I have heard that everyone is sitting inside, established on their respective thrones. But tell them, their rule will only continue until someone from the outside sets foot inside)."
Sharing the promo, the makers wrote, “Sahi pakde hai! Ab game palatne wala hai. Watch Lock Upp, every Saturday to Thursday, raat 8 baje, only on Netflix (sic)."
Shilpa, who became a household name with her role as Angoori Bhabhi in Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain!, enjoys a loyal fan following and is expected to add a new twist to the competition as the first wildcard entrant of the season.
