Samay Raina books entire theatre for Alia-Sharvari's Alpha, invites 250 fans
Samay Raina has booked an entire Mumbai theatre for an Alpha screening after Alia Bhatt and Sharvari appeared on India's Got Latent. The gesture comes as the film draws mixed reviews, early box office chatter and support from Karan Johar.

Comedian Samay Raina has booked an entire theatre in Mumbai for a special screening of Alpha, inviting 250 fans to join him as a gesture of appreciation for Alia Bhatt and Sharvari, who appeared on the premiere episode of the new season of India's Got Latent.
Sharing the announcement on Instagram on Saturday, Samay revealed that he would be watching Alpha in Mumbai and would send tickets to 250 people via WhatsApp. The tickets, he added, would be available to those registered on his pre-sale list.
Explaining the reason behind the screening, Samay said it was his way of thanking Alia and Sharvari for featuring on the first episode of the revived season of his show.
"Alsooooo. Tomorrow I'm going to watch Alpha in Mumbai. I have booked an entire theatre and I will send 250 of you guys tickets on WhatsApp (if you are registered on my pre-sale list)," he wrote.
He added, "It's just a small gesture from me to show love to Alia and Sharvari for being soooo cool that they came on my show's first episode. Love them both and super excited to see their movie! See you guys tomorrow!"
India's Got Latent recently returned with a new season after its first run was taken down following controversy. The latest season opened with Alia Bhatt and Sharvari as panellists.
During the episode, Samay poked fun at Alia's previous box office disappointments, including Jigra, while Sharvari's witty comeback also drew attention online. Despite receiving mixed reactions, the episode trended at No. 1 on Netflix. The show is also available on YouTube.
Directed by Shiv Rawail, Alpha stars Alia Bhatt, Sharvari, Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol. The film is the seventh instalment in the YRF Spy Universe and its first female-led title.
Released in theatres on July 3, it has received mixed reviews from critics and audiences and has earned Rs 37 crore worldwide in its first two days.
