Comedian Sunil Pal has claimed that Samay Raina recently invited him to appear on India’s Got Latent 2, but he turned down the offer despite being promised Rs 25 lakh. Speaking to paparazzi in Mumbai on Thursday, Pal said he refused because he did not want to use abusive language on the show.

Pal said Samay told him he would be paid Rs 25 lakh, but he replied that he would not abuse anyone. According to Pal, Samay then said that Pal did not have to do so, but others on the show would. A video of the interaction was shared on Instagram by Cidhant.

Pal has repeatedly voiced his displeasure with Samay Raina’s style of comedy. After Alia Bhatt and Sharvari appeared on the first episode of India’s Got Latent 2, Pal took a dig at the Alpha actors on Facebook. He wrote, "Jahaan hai gaaliya, wahaan hai Alia (Where there is abusive language, there is Alia).”

The feud between Sunil Pal and Samay Raina began in 2025, when Pal criticised Samay over the use of explicit language in the first edition of India’s Got Latent, which streamed on YouTube. At the time, Pal told IANS, “Do not call them stand-up comedians. That would be an insult to real stand-up comedy. They are uneducated individuals who should be treated like terrorists.”

Pal had also criticised the show's content, saying that while young people were striving to become responsible and cultured individuals, such comedians were being given public platforms to indulge in vulgarity and offensive language. He further remarked that it was ironic that well-educated organisers were hosting these events and promoting obscenity instead of meaningful messages.

Samay later responded during his Still Alive act, where he described Sunil as “insecure” and “frustrated”. He recalled that Sunil had advised him to learn from Kapil Sharma, and then took a dig at him by saying, “Kapil Sharma himself was coming on the next episode. Kapil Sharma himself was messaging me, ‘love your show’.”

Earlier this year, when Sunil Pal and Samay Raina appeared together again on Kapil Sharma’s Netflix show, the two continued to take digs at each other. Pal’s latest claim about refusing India’s Got Latent 2 adds another chapter to their long-running public exchange.
