Shoaib Ibrahim dismisses Dipika's surgery rumours: Her immunotherapy has started
Shoaib Ibrahim said Dipika Kakar has begun immunotherapy and has not been advised surgery for now. He also shared that his father is recovering gradually after brain surgery.
Actor Shoaib Ibrahim has shared a fresh update on wife Dipika Kakar's health after reports of two new cysts sparked concern among fans. Putting speculation about another surgery to rest, Shoaib clarified that Dipika has not been advised to undergo an operation and has instead begun immunotherapy as part of her treatment.
In his latest YouTube vlog, Shoaib addressed the speculation about Dipika's another surgery and said, "Kai sare logo ki mere pass message aya ki kya Dipika ki surgery ho rahi hai. Doctor ne abhi filhal nahi bola hai karna hai ki nahi hai. Kahi se bhi aapko information mili hai woh mujhe nahi pata. Surgery ka abhi kuch nahi hai. Baad ka nahi pata." (I received many messages from people asking if Dipika is undergoing surgery. For now, the doctor has not said whether it needs to be done or not. I don't know where you got this information from. There is nothing about surgery at the moment. I don't know about later).
Talking about her recovery, Shoaib said Dipika has already completed her first immunotherapy session. He said the treatment had started at HN Reliance Hospital, would take three to four hours, and was being carried out under medical supervision. He also said he hoped the treatment would work.
"Dipika’s immunotherapy has started at HN Reliance Hospital; it will take three to four hours. After this, I will head to Kokilaben Hospital to meet Papa. We hope Dipika’s immunotherapy works," he added.
Dipika was diagnosed with a malignant liver tumour last year and subsequently underwent surgery, during which doctors removed 22 per cent of her liver. On February 23, she underwent another procedure to remove a 13 mm cyst.
Update on Shoaib’s father
The Sasural Simar Ka actor also shared an update on his father’s health. Shoaib’s father was hospitalised following a brain haemorrhage and underwent brain surgery.
He said, "Papa is much better. Slowly, he is improving. The day before yesterday, I heard his voice after 10 days. He smiles too. He still has some difficulty speaking long sentences. Speech therapy is starting."
