Kannada actor Krishi Thapanda breaks silence on man's death at her Bengaluru home
Actor Krishi Thapanda has broken her silence after businessman Vaishak was found dead at her Bengaluru home. Here's what the actor said as the police investigation continues.

Kannada actor Krishi Thapanda has issued her first public statement after businessman Vaishak was found dead at her Bengaluru residence earlier this month. Breaking her silence, the 36-year-old actor appealed for compassion and privacy, saying she had been left devastated by the loss while struggling to cope with the relentless speculation surrounding the case.
In a note shared on Instagram, Krishi said she never imagined she would have to speak publicly about the incident but felt compelled to respond after facing constant rumours and assumptions. Her statement comes as police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding Vaishak's death. Officials have confirmed that no suicide note was recovered from the scene, and the probe remains ongoing.
Take a look at her post:
What did Krishi Thapanda say in her first statement?
Describing Vaishak as someone "very close" to her, Krishi wrote that his death had left a void she could not put into words. She said he had always stood by her with kindness and care, adding that she was unsure whether she would ever come to terms with the loss.
The actor also opened up about her own emotional struggles, saying she had been carrying pain for a long time and now found herself grieving another unimaginable loss. She explained that she had initially chosen to remain silent but decided to speak because the speculation surrounding the case had made the grieving process even more difficult.
Why did Krishi appeal for privacy?
Krishi said she had not been given the time or space to mourn because of the continuous rumours and attempts to turn the tragedy into a public story. Thanking her friends and well-wishers for their support, she urged people to show empathy towards everyone affected.
Ending her statement with an emotional appeal, she asked the public to let Vaishak rest in peace and allow his family, friends and loved ones the dignity and privacy to grieve. She disabled comments on the Instagram post and concluded her message with the words, "I'm begging you to stop."
What have investigators found so far?
According to investigators, Vaishak had reportedly been undergoing treatment for depression and was dealing with personal and family issues. Police also learnt that he had been living separately from his wife for nearly a month following frequent disputes.
Authorities have reiterated that no suicide note was found at the residence. The investigation is continuing to establish the exact circumstances leading to Vaishak's death.
