Actor Sanchita Ugale's grandfather, Gopinath, has paid an emotional tribute to the 22-year-old. He said she built a successful television career through hard work and talent alone. According to him, she had no industry mentor or "godfather" backing her journey.

Speaking to the media after Sanchita's death on June 14, Gopinath described her as an exceptionally gifted young woman who earned recognition entirely on her own merit. As the family continues to grapple with the tragedy, he said they remain unable to understand what she may have been experiencing mentally in the days leading up to her death.
