Man found dead at Bigg Boss Kannada contestant Krishi Thapanda's Bengaluru home

A 45-year-old man, identified as Vaishak Upadhyaya, was found dead by suicide at Bigg Boss Kannada Season 5 contestant Krishi Thapanda's Bengaluru home while she was away attending a meditation programme.

Bigg Boss Kannada 5 contestant Krishi Thapanda's Bengaluru home is under police investigation.

A 45-year-old man was found dead by suicide at the residence of actor and Bigg Boss Kannada Season 5 contestant Krishi Thapanda in Bengaluru's RR Nagar.

The deceased has been identified as Vaishak Upadhyaya.

According to police sources, Vaishak was found at an apartment in Elegant Terrace near Bangarappa Gudda late on Wednesday night. RR Nagar police rushed to the spot and launched an investigation.

Sources said Vaishak and his wife had frequent disputes following the case filed by businessman AVR Reddy. Due to marital discord, he was reportedly staying at Thapanda's home on several occasions and had come there again on Wednesday.

Vaishak was previously arrested in a case related to alleged threats issued to AVR Reddy. The case had been registered at HAL Police Station.

Vaishak is survived by his wife and a 14-year-old son.

Meanwhile, Thapanda was not present at the apartment at the time of the incident. She is currently at Kshemavana near Mahadevapura, where she had gone to attend a meditation programme.

Police are probing the circumstances leading to the death.
