Actor Sanchita Ugale suicide: Friend alleges Saajan Ghar co-star harassed her
After Sanchita Ugale's death, her friend Indraxi Kanjilal accused co-star Ujjwal Sharma of harassment. She also rejected his remarks about the actor's past relationship and said complaints had gone nowhere.

Television actor Sanchita Ugale, best known for her role in Kumkum Bhagya, died by suicide at her home in Maharashtra's Palghar district on June 14. She was 26. After her death, her friend and actor Indraxi Kanjilal alleged that Ugale had faced mental harassment from her Saajan Ghar co-star Ujjwal Sharma.
Indraxi also rejected Ujjwal's reported claims that Sanchita had been going through a difficult phase because of a past relationship. She said she was "appalled" by his remarks and argued that he was not close enough to comment on the actor's personal life.
Ugale was reportedly found dead at her residence in the Nalasopara area at around 7 pm while she was alone. While the exact reason behind her death is not known, Indraxi claimed that Sanchita had been troubled during her time on Saajan Ghar, where Ujjwal played her on-screen partner.
Speaking to TellyChakkar, Indraxi said, "Ujjwal had apparently borrowed money from Sanchita and later behaved rudely with her. When she asked him to return the money, he lashed out, humiliated her, and even threatened to hit her. I have screenshots of their chats where he used inappropriate language and insulted her."
She further alleged that Sanchita had raised complaints about what she was going through. "Sanchita did complain about the harassment and everything she was going through to the concerned heads. However, she eventually realised that nothing was going to change, which is why she decided to walk away from the show," Indraxi said.
