Fact Check: This video shows TVK's protest against SIR, not NEET paper leak
On November 16, 2025, the TVK organised protests against SIR across Tamil Nadu.

Dharmendra Pradhan has resigned as India’s education minister following weeks of protests in the national capital - and later across the country. But Tamil Nadu’s ruling Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam has also demanded the abolition of NEET, the centralised medical entrance exam. Chief Minister Vijay’s party has also demanded the transfer of education to the State List or an interim Special Concurrent List.
A video now going viral shows a massive crowd gathering with the TVK’s flag. An X user shared the video and wrote, “TVK Alliance Protests against NEET today at T Nagar. We will show what and how a protest looks like, DMK.”
India Today Fact Check found that the video shows the TVK’s protest against the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls in Tamil Nadu. It has nothing to do with NEET.
