Avoid gym, eat hamburgers: Milind Soman reveals his fitness mindset at 60

In an interview, supermodel and fitness enthusiast Milind Soman discussed his approach to health, diet, and ageing. Soman, who recently turned 60, shared that he does not follow complicated workout routines or strict diets. He said, "I exercise maybe 10 or 15 minutes a day," focusing on simple movements like pull-ups, push-ups, squats, and lunges. He also mentioned that he avoids gyms, preferring to stay active through running, swimming, and walking. Addressing his diet, Soman revealed that he does not restrict himself, noting, "I eat biryani. I eat pizza. I eat hamburgers. I eat everything." However, he emphasised the importance of minimising over-processed and refined foods while prioritising whole, home-cooked meals. Soman highlighted the significance of sleep and intermittent fasting, sharing that he eats within an eight-hour window. On the topic of ageing, he remarked, "You can get older, but you don't need to get old," attributing youthfulness to a positive mindset and consistent physical activity. He encouraged people to start small and remain consistent in their fitness journeys.
