The CCTV footage shows two women walking along the main road when a fast-moving car approaches from behind and slams into them without warning. The impact is so severe that both women are thrown several feet into the air before crashing onto the road.
Instead of stopping to help, the driver allegedly abandoned the vehicle at the scene and fled, leaving the injured women behind.
Residents rushed to the victims' aid and shifted them to a nearby hospital. According to police, one of the women sustained serious injuries, while the other suffered minor injuries and is undergoing treatment.
Police reached the spot soon after receiving information about the crash and seized the abandoned car. Officials said they are examining CCTV footage and other evidence to identify and trace the absconding driver.
The investigation is underway, and legal action will be taken against the accused once he is apprehended.
