Following the video's circulation, Partur police registered a case against the school's president, a teacher and the programme's anchor. An investigation has been launched to ascertain how the performance was approved and organised.

Police are examining the circumstances under which the song was played during the school event and whether any laws were violated. Officials have said the investigation is ongoing and further action will be taken based on the findings.

The incident has triggered a political controversy, with leaders from different parties reacting to the viral video and calling for strict action against those responsible.

BJP leader Kirit Somaiya visited the school along with police officials and demanded strict action.

Following an inspection of the school premises, Somaiya claimed that the institution did not have valid recognition from the education department. He alleged that, under the rules, the school building would have to be demolished and sealed, with further legal action to follow.

During his interaction with reporters, Somaiya also targeted Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, claiming that the BJP-led Maharashtra government was taking strict action against those supporting terrorism as well as illegal Pakistani and Bangladeshi nationals.

The matter has also raised questions over the monitoring of performances at school events and adherence to educational guidelines.
