The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) has targeted the Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann over a controversial video involving alleged sacrilege. While the Chief Minister claimed the video was fake and featured an artificial intelligence-generated mask, the gurdwara body rejected this explanation. The committee questioned why the state government spent Rs ten lakh to test the video in Gurugram if it was indeed fake. They demanded a conspiracy case against the Chief Minister and a state minister. Furthermore, the committee noted that the Chief Minister had failed to get the video tested when requested by the Akal Takht Jathedar, and refused to accept the results when the Akal Takht proceeded with the test. Opposition parties have also rejected the mask theory.
