According to the information available, the family decided to opt for a natural birth at home instead of going to a hospital for the delivery.

On June 24, Sasikala gave birth to a baby girl at home. However, she suffered severe postpartum bleeding that did not stop. She was subsequently taken to the Government Medical College Hospital in Perundurai for treatment.

She was later shifted to a private hospital in Coimbatore for advanced treatment, where she died.
