Six killed after tractor-trolley with 50 passengers overturns in Madhya Pradesh

Six people were killed and at least 39 were injured after a tractor-trolley overturned in Madhya Pradesh.
The incident took place in Ginjri village of Anuppur district on Saturday, while around 50 people were on their way from Padaniya village to Bijora village for a religious ceremony.
However, chaos broke out after the tractor-trolley lost control and overturned near a temple dedicated to Lord Shani. The accident was so severe that several passengers were trapped underneath the trolley.
Police officials reached the spot soon after the accident and launched relief and rescue operations with the help of local residents. The injured were immediately shifted to the Pali Community Health Centre, where treatment is underway. Fifteen critically injured people have been referred to the district hospital.
Police have begun an investigation and are trying to ascertain the cause of the accident.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav expressed grief over the incident. He directed officials to provide financial assistance of Rs 4 lakh each to the families of the deceased and ensure proper treatment for the injured.
