A fire broke out at a shoe showroom near the Clock Tower in Uttar Pradesh's Ghaziabad on Tuesday, triggering a firefighting operation and causing panic in the busy commercial area.

The blaze erupted at the showroom in the Kotwali police station area near the iconic Clock Tower, with thick plumes of smoke billowing into the sky. The cause of the fire was not immediately known.

The department said a total of 11 fire tenders were deployed to the spot, and the blaze was completely extinguished. It also confirmed that no loss of life was reported in the incident.

The extent of damage to the showroom and nearby properties is yet to be assessed. Authorities are expected to conduct a detailed inspection once the site is declared safe.
